for almost two years now, and to be finally able to make it available to the public is extremely

Based off the high-performance Z06 hardtop, the Guldstrand 50th Anniversary Signature
Edition Corvette features:
- A New Generation 427 V8 producing 500 hp at 5,600 RPM and 520 ft-lbs. of torque at 4,700 RPM.
- High-performance Z-rated Michelin Pilot Sport tires mounted on Fikse wheels.
- Suspension modifications consisting of Dick Guldstrand-engineered front and rear
stabilizer bars and heim-jointed links, and high-performance Flowmaster exhaust.
- Interior package with re-contoured sport seats, embossed Guldstrand Anniversary logo
and signature, suede accents, and carbon fiber console.
- Specific hood and body panels in Anniversary Gold and Cobalt Blue paint by DuPont.
- Special underhood trim including carbon fiber engine and fuse box covers using
Anniversary logo and 427 nomenclature.
- Graphics package and treatment by former GM and Corvette designer John Schinella.
Only 50 Guldstrand Signature Edition Corvettes will be built. Each of these collectible cars have special serialized ID numbers and Dick Guldstrand's personal signature.
On The Engine
The New Generation 427 used in the Guldstrand Signature Edition Corvette is built by Katech, Inc., from specifications developed by Guldstrand specifically for the anniversary car. Among its many accomplishments, Katech also produces the engines for the Corvette C5-R race cars that won at LeMans in 2001 and 2002 as well as every American LeMans Series race so far this year.
Beginning with the 5.7 liter V8 block that comes in the standard Z06 Corvette used for the Signature Edition car, Katech bores out the factory cylinder sleeves and installs sleeves of its own manufacture which result in a 4.12-inch bore and 4.0-inch stroke. The stock Z06 engine has a bore/stoke of 3.898/3.622 inches. The entire block is re-machined with billet steel used for main caps and both head and main bearing studs. Katech pistons are inserted in the enlarged bores, and rings are file-fitted to exactly match the bore dimensions of each cylinder. Carillo rods connect the pistons to a 4340 forged crankshaft.
The top of the engine uses Katech Stage III cylinder heads with cc'd and ported combustion chambers. While the rocker arms and lifters remain factory stock, titanium retainers and stainless steel valves are employed as is an adjustable timing set and a stronger high performance timing chain from the C5-R race car. The camshaft has a high performance profile with higher lift and longer duration, but remains totally streetable. The compression ratio is 10.8:1. Fuel flows to the heads through a Katech ported throttle body.
All of this adds up to a 427 cubic inch engine producing 500 horsepower at 5,600 RPM and 520 ft-lbs. of torque at 4,700 RPM. Yet, it remains totally suited to everyday street driving with its attendant use of air conditioning and long periods spent at idle speeds in heavy traffic.
How You Can Get Yours
- Only 50 Guldstrand Signature Edition 50th Anniversary Corvettes will be built. All cars are sold to customers on a “first-come/first-served” basis.
- The published suggested retail price of the Guldstrand Signature Edition Corvette package is $49,330 (FOB - Detroit). This is in addition to the price of a 2003 Corvette Z06 hardtop, which would be negotiated between the
customer and the seller of that car.
- The Guldstrand Signature Edition Anniversary Corvette package is available to those who have already purchased a 2003 Z06 Corvette. Contact us directly for details on how to get your 2003 Z06 Corvette converted.
- GMP will send the customer the contract and invoice, and the customer will send GMP payment-in-full for the Guldstrand Package and a signed contract. Once the payment and the signed contract have been received by GMP, the 2003 Z06 Corvette hardtop will be delivered to the designated GMP assembly facility in Troy, Michigan.
- Each Guldstrand Signature Edition Corvette will be completed and arrangements will be made to have it shipped to the customer's designated location. (The customer is responsible for all transportation costs of the car to the GMP assembly facility in Michigan and then to the final delivery point. GMP, if requested, can assist the customer in making transportation and delivery arrangements.)
- The build time on any one Signature Edition Corvette is programmed to be within 8 to 16 weeks from the time we receive the Z06, depending on the back-log of orders/payments we have received at that time.

automobile, and therefore not for the average car owner or enthusiast. Ownership of the Guldstrand
Signature Edition Anniversary Corvette requires an understanding and appreciation of the
proper operation, care, and maintenance of a finely-tuned precision-crafted
high-performance car. We recommend that only serious collectors and enthusiasts consider
purchasing this vehicle.
